Country Music Series

Film documentarian Ken Burns has been working on an expansive film about country music over the last half decade. Country Music will chronicle the history of a uniquely American art form, rising from the experiences of remarkable people in distinctive regions of our nation.  With songs like A BOY NAMED SUE, GOING DOWN THE ROAD and TOM DOOLEY, the film will follow the evolution of country music over the course of the twentieth century.

The eight-part documentary film is set to premier on PBS in September 2019.
