The Who's Tommy Returns to Broadway!

After nearly thirty years, The Who’s Tommy has returned to Broadway! Look for this iconic rock musical at the Nederlander Theatre, running now!
Based on The Who's 1969 rock opera, Tommy, this musical follows a young Tommy Walker, who witnesses his father shoot his rival. Lost emotionally, Walker spends his time staring into the mirror, until a special knack for pinball catapults him into celebrity status.
The Who's Tommy originally opened on Broadway in 1993 and received five Tony Awards for Best Direction for McAnuff, Best Choreography for Wayne Cilento, Best Original Score for Pete Townshend, Best Scenic Design for John Arnone, and Best Lighting Design for Chris Parry. The Who's Pete Townshend who wrote the lyrics and the music for the show recently stated:
"I can’t wait to see how this newly empowered show connects with younger Broadway audiences today. I hope the younger ones come, for they will identify in an entirely new and important way with Tommy’s tumultuous life.
