FAI 2026 Highlights:
That’s a wrap on Folk Alliance International! From hosting a booth and connecting with prospective writers, to organizing our own private showcase and sponsoring the Opening Reception, the TRO team had an incredible week in New Orleans.
We also celebrated four TRO nominations at the International Folk Music Awards, including Album of the Year nods for Woody Guthrie's Woody at Home Vol. 1 & 2 and Flamy Grant's CHURCH, a Song of the Year nomination for Woody Guthrie's “Ain’t Afraid to Die,” and an Artist of the Year nomination for Sam Robbins. We were also thrilled to have Casii Stephan and Alex Wong selected as official showcase artists!
A major highlight was our third annual private showcase, Shamus Records: Good Vibes Live!, featuring performances from Alex Wong, Flamy Grant, Sam Robbins, Casii Stephan, Rachel Maxann, and a special appearance by Crys Matthews performing their upcoming single “Citizen.”
Beyond the stages, we enjoyed a special screening of Lead Belly: The Man Who Invented Rock & Roll and a beautiful listening party for Woody at Home Volumes 1 & 2 with Anna Canoni. Huge thanks to Folk Alliance International, Sara Siskind (Hands On Healthy), and our intern Tyler Fazzari for making it all possible. Until next year!
