New Release from Crys Matthews

Shamus Records is excited to announce Crys Matthews new single, "Forged In Fire", releasing on 3/28, No Kings Day.

An unapologetic preacher's kid, Crys Matthews's A.M.E. upbringing shines through. Powerhouse vocalists Kyshona, Kiley Phillips, Nickie Conley, Wil Merrell, and Jason Eskridge 'take us to church' as Matthews's lyrics remind us that hopelessness is not an option, "and that we can never let the present have the last word on the future," Matthews adds.

"Forged In Fire" was produced and recorded by Seth Glier, with whom she worked on her song "Sleeves Up". "Sleeves Up" won Song of the Year at the International Folk Music Awards in January making Matthews the first person to win the award twice since its inception. Matthews also won Artist of the Year at the 2025 ceremony.
