The Moody Blues' Ray Thomas

Ray Thomas, a founding member of the British rock group the Moody Blues, died on Thursday at his home in Surrey, England. He was 76.

Mr. Thomas sang and wrote a number of the Moody Blues’ songs, including ARE YOU SITTING COMFORTABLY?, LEGEND OF A MIND, TWILIGHT TIME and VISIONS OF PARADISE, and performed in rock and blues bands in Birmingham, England, before founding the group in 1964.

The Moody Blues are to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in April.
