We at TRO Essex Music Group and our label arms, Shamus Records, are thrilled to announce a new publishing and recording deal with the rising singer-songwriter St. Catherine's Child (Ilana Zsigmond). This partnership is one of the label’s most promising UK signings, adding to its legacy alongside legendary artists like Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Lead Belly, Bill Evans, Pete Townshend, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath. Ilana joins a growing roster of TRO Essex’s breakthrough acts, including Flamy Grant and Jaden Evans.

This deal covers both Ilana’s past releases and her highly anticipated upcoming album, with the debut single, “Negative Space,” set to drop on March 7th. Her recent induction into the 2024 Recording Academy Member Class further cements her place in the Indie Folk/Americana scene. Ilana’s live performances have captivated audiences across the US and UK, blending rich Americana storytelling with British wit.

Her debut single, “Burden,” has already amassed over 3.7 million streams on Spotify, followed by “Connecticut River” in 2021 and the “Every Generation” EP in 2023. The title track of her EP was shortlisted for “UK Song of the Year” at the 2024 UK Americana Music Association Awards. Born in England and raised in Connecticut, Ilana brings a unique blend of influences to her music, creating a sound that is truly her own.
