American Celtic punk band, The Dropkick Murphys just dropped a new album titled "Okemah Rising", featuring the lyrics of classic folk writer Woody Guthrie. The Dropkick Murphys' history with Woody Guthrie spans back decades, from covering "Gonna Be A Blackout Tonight" on their 2003 album, to using some of Guthrie's lyrics in their famous hit "I'm Shipping Up To Boston". A follow-up to their previous album "This Machine Still Kills Fascists", "Okemah Rising" was crafted around the American folk icon and is a unique combination of the classic folk lyrics from Woody Guthrie and the modern sound of The Dropkick Murphys.
